H-1 Visa for Professionals
The temporary professional visa (H-1B) allows professionals to enter the United States and accept temporary employment within their profession.
This visa is often utilized by engineers, nurses, professors, researchers, computer scientist and other professionals as a means to gain valuable work experience in the United States while receiving a professional income.
- Baccalaureate or higher; or equivalent foreign degree;
- Education, specialized training, and/or progressively responsible experience equivalent to the required degree in positions directly related to the position;
- Employer has ability to pay employees.
- The LCA and other supporting documents;
- The applicant’s university degree certificate and mark sheets;
- Letter from petitioning employer confirming employer’s intent to hire the applicant;
- Applicant’s work experience letters;
- Pay slips from current or most recent place of employment;
- Current telephone numbers of the personnel managers at the applicant’s present and past jobs;
- Photographs of the inside and outside of the applicant’s current or most recent place of work;
- A complete resume (bio-data) and cover letter describing current job duties in detail;
- Personal bank records for the last six months;
- U.S. company information: photographs of the inside and outside of the company’s offices, prospectus, brochures, and annual report;
- If the applicant is current working in the United States on an H-1B visa, also submit pay slips for the current calendar year and federal tax returns (IRS Form 1040 and W-2) for all years in which the applicant was employed in the United States;
